sevfive : dodgy dump

The house next door to me is up for sale at the moment, so there is quite a few people checking it out on the weekends. You can tell the house hunters by how fast they drive along the street. When I spot one, I generally have a gander to review my possible new neighbours.

This weekend gone, there were quite a few lookers, but one in particular caught my eye. While she was driving slowly, she was not necessarily looking at the house for sale but everywhere else & it just didn't look right.

She drove past once & less than a minute later, parked directly in front of my house, got out & started grabbing stuff from the back seat of her car. A bit more looking around & then she proceeded across the road to where a little creek runs through the area. Without thinking twice, she dumped a big slab of wood & then emptied a bag full of items directly into the creek!

This sort of thing drives me nuts! I think I had steam bursting from my
ears while my camera clicked away getting her actions on record.

When she got back, she removed more bags from the car, but this time headed on foot up the street. After a short while, I thought I'd sneak out & get a photo of her number plate, but once outside, I had a quick look around, then headed over to the creek to see what else she had dumped.

Other than the piece of wood, she had dropped some mouldy bread rolls, so it wasn't too concerned, but I picked up the wood & headed back to her car. I left it leaning against her front bumper, so even if she didn't notice it, it would make a hell of a noise if she simply drove off.

I headed back inside, hoping she would return.

Unfortunately, I missed her immediate reaction to seeing what she had dumped returning mysteriously, but she picked it up, put it back in her car & drove off.

I had a look at the photos I'd taken after uploading them to the computer & noticed she had a for sale sign in the window. Not only did I have her number plate, but also her phone number!!

I suspect she eventually realised this as well, because after going out a bit later in the afternoon, I returned to find the rest of the stuff she dumped had vanished.

Seriously, the nerve of some people!!
